Watch as Jamie wins the 1st Annual Mucho Burrito Ghost Pepper Burrito Eating Contest that took place in Toronto on 10/20/2012. This eating contest found the contestants eating 10 inch burritos laced with the second hottest pepper in the world; the Naga Bhut Jolokia aka “The Ghost Pepper”. According to Wikipedia The Naga Bhut Jolokia is a chili pepper previously recognized by Guinness World Records as the hottest pepper in the world. The pepper is also known as Naga Jolokia, ghost pepper, ghost chile pepper, red naga chilli, and ghost chile. In 2007, Guinness World Records certified that the Bhut Jolokia was the world’s hottest chili pepper, 10,000 times hotter than Tabasco sauce; however, it has since been superseded by the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion. New Mexico State University’s Chile Pepper Institute states that it is still the hottest chile pepper that is commercially available.
